Burnishing
High
speed burnishing is performed to produce high gloss levels on
clean finished hard floor surfaces.
The gloss is achieved by the generation of heat.
The type of pad, the amount of pad pressure and the
spinning speed of the pad generate the heat.
The right combination of pad, pad pressure, and pad
speed, levels the floor finish which produces more consistent
light refection, hardens the floor finish which makes it more
durable by collapsing the molecular structure of the polymer
and enhances floor finish gloss.
SPRAY
BUFFING
Spray
buffing is a simple process that involves spraying the floor
with a spray buffing solution and then buffing the floor with
a buffing pad. Spray
buffing solutions are designed to migrate into Floor Finishes.
Spray buffing removes scratches, black marks, and soil
from the top layer of finish and recaptures the high gloss.
Spray buffing takes a minimal amount of time, including
dust mopping both prior to and immediately after the process.
Spray buffing also plays a key part in reducing the need for
light scrubbing/recoating or stripping/refinishing.
The
type of pad used will depend on the speed of the floor machine
and the condition of the floor being buffed.
